Would highly recommend it !

EZ Snap Product: RV Window Shades

EZ SNAP Shades have made a monumental difference in our RV life.

On 90-degree days, our fifth wheel held at 80 degrees or more.

With the EZ SNAP shades up, our RV is cooling to 72 degrees when it’s over 90 outside.

We wouldn’t be able to survive summer in our fifth wheel without these colors. I love that we can still see outside, we didn’t have to give up our windows to stay cool.

RV window shades reviews

We did a mix of windows on and off depending on how the window was opened or not. Both installations were easy and held up perfectly.

Would highly recommend it!

I highly recommend these sunscreens.

13 April 2022…

I got my kit and submitted the new measurements to the calculator before cutting the material.

Installed them and they look great! I will write a review of their performance after the camping trip in May.

Thanks for answering all my questions and for the prompt shipping.

Update June 11…

An affordable, easy-to-install, heat-reduction solution for RV windows that lets you take care of yourself!

My only regret is that I didn’t discover heat-reducing sunscreens sooner!

The reps were very patient with all my questions (I’m a perfectionist) and very helpful with all the suggestions they provided.

The kit arrived faster than I expected.

The instructions were easy to follow.

One of my concerns was how the anchors would look attached to the fiberglass siding of our RV. (See attached photos). I was very happy with the color match. I couldn’t have gotten a more perfect color match.

RV window shades reviews

EZ Snap has a sample kit you can order that includes all the anchor colors as well as samples of all the materials you will use for your installation.

Installation was easy. I did most of the project on my own and only had help from my husband when it came time to install the screens on the large windows.

So, my main reason for getting these screens was to reduce the amount of heat in our RV and still be able to keep our view. These screens accomplish both!

I immediately noticed the temperature difference when parked in front of our house in full sun while loading the trailer for the trip.

As for the approach, there is some distortion in the parts of Windows that already have the screen which I knew would happen and I’m fine. It’s a small price to pay for the comfort it provides and we have many windows that don’t distort which makes me a happy camper!

They are easy to put on and take off. I use a 3 step ladder and can get them on and off in about 10 minutes (all windows).

They tend to collect dust, but I take care of that quickly by attaching my Swiffer mop to a microfiber cloth and brushing away the dust. Absolutely easy!

We leave them on during storage and only remove them during travel. We wrap them and store them in a box that prevents them from bending.

I highly recommend these sunscreens to anyone looking for a solution to reduce the heat on your RV windows and reduce the heat inside your RV, take care and at an affordable price!

I’ve attached pictures, so you can see what the anchors look like when the screens are off, as well as pictures with the screens on.

Controlling the heat makes a difference.

EZ Snap Product: RV Window Shades

I have a Class A RV with a large front windshield and large driver and passenger side slide windows plus 7 cabin windows.

The front glass cover I thought would be a challenge given the size (about 5’X9′). I installed the adhesive back tabs according to the instructions and then installed the screen from the ceiling, starting in the middle and working my way to each side, keeping the screen level. I then punched all the tabs through the screen and trimmed the corners and bottom to fit for a nice, clean visual.

I can say that the temperature difference in the driver’s cab section was immediately noticeable because I could stick my arm under the bed and it was like a different room, warmer.

Great product, easy to install and makes a difference in controlling heat.

Highly recommend Ez Snap Shades.

I found installation instructions online which made the job very easy.

I installed the screen on my largest window on the front of my travel trailer and noticed an immediate reduction in heat…I will be installing ez snap screens on more windows soon.

Very good product

This is a great product. It is easy to install and work with.

It has dropped our interior temperature on our camper by 10 and you can still look out the windows and enjoy the outdoors.

We are telling all our travel friends about this product because it is a must.

update…

Hello; It’s been a while since I sent you a review, but the weather has kept me from putting up more covers for a while now with some freak rain, thunder and hail. The weather has improved and I have my second window ready and need to get the next cover cut to size and installed.

The first window, as I said before the birds were flying and hitting it, not a single bird has hit the window since the covering was put on it.

The third window I want to do is I’m still trying to decide what I’m going to do. This is a window over the dining table and will be able to cover two thirds of it (top 2/3) but the bottom is a window that cranks for a screen window. I may not cover the bottom of the window.

Friday 5/27 I hope to put the cover on window #2 before this weekend since it’s supposed to rain again, but we’ll take it since we haven’t had much rain here since the first of the year. . When I get the cover on the second window I will take pictures and send them to you. Thank you for your patience.

Stop the heat.

I couldn’t believe the difference.

I ordered a 3’x6′ kit today. I previously ordered enough material in one kit to cover every window in my Class C RV.

Marking and cutting with a white pencil is very easy.

Installation was a breeze for the 72-year-old woman.

I couldn’t believe the difference. The mesh has not curled at the ends after 3 years of use.

I recently purchased an old mobile home in Redding California with a south facing kitchen. Temperatures reached 110 last summer, making it nearly impossible to cook in the kitchen even with the air conditioner on. Thus, I ordered a 3 x 6 kit for the kitchen window. I am excited to receive and install. I will give an update on performance later this summer. I know it will make a big difference.

Thanks EZ Snap!!

Recommend to anyone looking for window covers!

One day I was looking at other RVs for sale when I saw some RVs with window blinds, and it got me started looking into who made them and after countless searches I finally found the EZ Snap. went.

After finding their online site and seeing what the product had to offer it was exactly what I wanted.

I had some problems in the summer moving through the windows and into the 5th wheel, and other birds trying to fly through the back of the RVs window and into the 5th wheel.

I bought a kit from EZ Snap (12′) and had it up in no time. I liked that there were choices about the type of images and how to place them and their color and cover.

It’s nice to do the procedure without drilling a hole in the RV. The instructions on how to install the cover are easy to follow and do.

Since installing the cover on the back window of the RV, not a single bird has hit the window and you’ve already noticed the difference by not trying to get through the windows.

I would also say that these would be good on the houses because you can still see through the covers, but I would have to use the base snaps instead of the glues that screw on.

Easy to install and would recommend to anyone looking for a window cover!

Steve LaRoche,

EZSnap window shades work perfectly for dog fences!

I am looking for a simple solution to build a travel trailer side of the fence wall for my dogs. While RV skirting seems like a logical way to go, it seems bulky and heavy to constantly lift, lower, and transport.

The folks at EZSnap suggested I check out their window shade material. What a wonderful idea!

The shade material is lightweight enough to be easy to carry, and has a snap (pun intended) to put up and take down. It’s solid enough to prevent bridges from trying to run through it, but still allows air to pass through.

I secure the bottom with a short length of PVC and EZSnaps pipe clamps. I found that filling the PVC pipe with sand and capping the ends worked much better to prevent the bottom from cracking on a blustery day.

Initial product installation was easy and subsequent setup and takedown was quick and easy. The screen rolls up nicely, even with the snap installed, and takes up very little space and almost no weight in the trailer.

EZSnap window shades work perfectly for this unintended product use!

Deb Geller

We love the look.

We bought these because we are now living full time in our travel trailer in Arizona.

The instructions were easy to follow and easy to install.

Our hope is that this will significantly reduce the Arizona heat, so we can enjoy our views, as before adding window shades we had to try and put foil/insulation on our windows to keep the heat out. can be excluded.

The honest truth is that even after adding the shades we put foil insulation in the windows to give the trailer double the protection.

However, we love the exterior of our trailer and the fact that we can look out the windows whenever we want at night.

My only concern is that I can’t find the removal tool so when we move our trailer, it will be a challenge to remove the shades before moving our trailer.🤷🏼‍♂️

Thanks,

Greg Chamara

Cut them to size at your shop.

I don’t have a lot of space and it was hard to do I don’t see why you can’t cut them to size at your shop over there or maybe you just order it from China or something I don’t know but I did it Did it myself but I messed it up on a couple of cuts and hurt my knees in the process but I need to order more snaps and some more mesh that I messed up.

How cool is my 5th wheel.

I received my order on time.

The computer generated pattern for my windows was spot on.

I installed the kit in two days. The first day was marking where snap bases are being installed and the installation of snap bases. Cut and install the shade cloth the next day.

Everything went exactly as your installation video showed.

I am really impressed with your products. Ease of installation, looks good.

The weather is warming up here in Arizona and I am very happy with how cool my 5th wheel is. I bet that makes a big difference this summer!

Ed Kennedy

Does just what it claims!

I purchased your product for my Winnie Journey.

Can’t beat the product for the money.

Took about 8 hours all told to cut and snap the screens but what a difference especially the front windshield and driver’s side window.

Made summer in Denton TX so much more bearable.

It was 2018. Now that we have rated the 20 foot trailer we plan to do the same for the windows.

The product does just what it claims!

Mark D.

We bought these shades for our fifth wheel a while back!

We are full time rowers and we spend the winter in Florida.

Our back window faces south and it gets so hot you can hardly touch the window!

Since we installed these shades I can finally leave my back window shade open and the window stays cool!

Our RV stays very cool!

Very easy to install and we used to set our thermostat low so now we can set it to a higher temperature!

Thank you so much for this great product and we are saving energy and paying less to keep it cool.

Pat Weber

super happy

Ez Snap is the most economical way to shade your RV windows.

The quality of the screen content is great, and the cut layout they provide makes it nice not to waste content.

3M tape under the base works great.

I am very happy with the final results.

Timothy

Quite easy to use.

We installed EZ Snap on our camper windows last week. We are in Florida and camping full time but after a lot of research we felt this product would give us the UV protection we were after while still allowing us to see outside.

It’s not summer yet but we’ve had sunny and warm days and we can feel the difference.

Our window tint is good but we feel we need more.

The installation and instructions were great as well as the installation video on YouTube. We used 3m holders and it was pretty easy to use once we figured out how we wanted it.

Waiting for a more comfortable trailer and an A/c unit that doesn’t require as much effort.

Thanks Ted and Alan

Excellent product

Excellent product at a reasonable price.

Quite easy and efficient to install.

Ford Transit – White Shades vs. Black Shades

This review is mostly for owners of Ford Transit camper vans and other similar vans with tinted windows on the sides of the van (eg Coachman Beyond). Factory tinted windows have a convex curve from top to bottom. These dark tinted windows offer a lot of privacy but get very hot when the sun shines on them and help warm the interior even with reflective panels on the interior (by the way – the window Paint the window side of the internal reflex white to reduce.temperature). I had previously tried to attach the space blanket material to the outside using magnets and although this approach reduced the internal temperature it was not suitable for two reasons. The view is completely blocked and moderate winds will rip material from the van.

RV window shades reviews

The EZ Snap solution provides a promising solution to the two problems mentioned above and so I gave it a try. I ordered black mesh material with black stick-on fasteners. I was a little concerned about how the fasteners would look when the shade wasn’t installed, but when installed near the edge of the window they blend in very well with the dark tinted windows. . The mesh shade material is robust and has two features that help solve two problems I encountered in my previous attempts. They allow air to pass through reducing drag and allow a view through the windows when installed (although not as clear as if there was nothing on the window). Did they reduce the heat with dark tinted windows? As installed according to the instructions – they only lowered the window temperature 5 – 7 degrees F. I tried to figure out why I wasn’t getting much of a temperature drop as the mesh in the van

The e-mesh screen was resting directly on the glass and was absorbing heat into the glass due to the curvature of the glass.

The e-mesh screen was resting directly on the glass and was absorbing heat into the glass due to the curvature of the glass.

I tried two different solutions and here are my results and recommendations. I first tried using spacers (small clear bumpers between the glass and the mesh screen. The spacers helped a lot and reduced the temperature of the glass by 12 to 20 degrees. The problem I ran into was The spacers were not particularly attractive when placed in place. The glass where you see them. Another solution involved using white mesh instead of black mesh. I actually ordered a black mesh screen. because I thought it would be easier to see through (less glare) and because it would blend in with the color of the van window (which it did). Since I already cut the black mesh. installed, so I decided to spray paint the spacers with white Krylon Fusion Paint. The glass temperature dropped to 25-27 degrees F.

My recommendation for owners of similar vehicles is to order a white mesh screen instead of black, but put black stick on the fasteners so the fasteners blend in with the windows when the screen is not on the vehicle. Both fastener and mesh screening appear to be very effective and durable.

You’ll see less heat through the windows with more privacy.

Amazing company, you get your order in days they get it in a couple of days and it fits perfectly and you only need one if you have the same size. There are more than 2 windows which make the cardboard mold very easy to do.

Skip it if you’re not traveling. You’ll see less heat through the windows with more privacy.

The best improvement you can make in your life for money. enjoy it.

The trailer gets hotter than the outside temperature.

I bought EZ Snap because of the reviews but my results are not the same.

It was easy to cut to size, and putting them on wasn’t too bad but they didn’t work as advertised. Our veins are 10-15 degrees warmer than the outside temperature. It advertised that it would keep us about 15 degrees cooler than the outside temperature.

We feel torn. We spent about $800.00 on a narrow income only to have the product not work.

I’m really sorry I couldn’t leave a great review, and chances are you’ll never see it if they only post great reviews.

Happy

Very happy with the product – it keeps the sun’s rays off the camper – other campers have expressed interest in getting some.

5 star rating

Installation was easy, only 3 weeks before being removed for winter.

I guess they reduced the heat by 30 to 40% which I am totally satisfied with. My RV is located in Waupaca Wisconsin and I will be able to tell you more after summer is over next year. I’m sure I’ll be happy with them.

Others at the campground have already contacted me about your product, and I have recommended it to them.

My only question now is how long will they stay around? Only time will tell.

Currently I give it a 5 star rating.

Host Yukon Truck Camper Sheds.

Hello

I installed EZ Snap Shades on my host Yukon truck camper.

Your window calculator was very helpful in getting me the right amount of shading. I even had enough to vent the roof skylight and maxi fan.

Thank you for all the help.

Huge savings on our electric bill

After using these window shades for almost two hot months, we are happy to say that they work very well.

Our RV is cooler and takes a lot longer than a continuously running RV AC. We have seen huge savings in our electricity bill compared to last year’s usage.

I would recommend Ez Snap window coverings for RV owners.

Installation was straightforward and easy.

Bought an EZ Snap kit to install shades on a few windows in my motorhome in August of this year. I previously purchased the Magneshade product for my windshield and cockpit side windows. Although they provide a good product, it is very expensive and the lead time to receive it is very extensive. Because of this, I decided to give EZ Snap a try.

After researching things on your website and using the calculator, I called your sales team to make sure I chose the right product and found them very helpful. Once received, I found all the contents to be what it said they would be and the instructions were very detailed.

With proper planning, installation was straightforward and easy with the adhesive being very durable. After a few days I removed the shades to wash the windows and found the process quick and painless with the provided tool. It took no time at all to reinstall.

Most importantly, the interior temperature of our coach is now significantly cooler and daytime privacy is increased even with the interior shades raised.

Thanks for a great product. I would recommend EZ Snap to anyone who wants to experience the positive results I had on my motorhome.

G. Bradley

Very easy!

It was very easy.

Just love being able to see out our big windshield, people can’t see in.

The temperature dropped by 5-7 degrees.

So far so good. We used EZ Snap on four afternoon sun-facing windows.

The trailer has a total of 11 windows and a sliding glass door.

Better yet, we have dropped the temperature by 5-7 degrees.

Very satisfied

I was looking for a solution to the excessive radiant heat coming through the large window by the couch in my camper. Went online, looked at several products and was initially impressed with EZ Snap.

So I called EZ Snap and spoke to a representative about their product. Discussed installation, materials, maintenance, etc… took all the information provided and digested it.

Went to my RV and took the measurements as directed and called the EZ Snap customer representative back. He was very helpful, took my measurements, told me how much product I would need and then took my order. They also talked me through the installation of their product, which was very helpful when it came time to do the installation.

EZ Snap did their best to get the product to my house in as little time as possible so I could build and install a shed before my next trip which was coming up in a week. The product arrived, I opened the package, read the instructions and started.

Really easy and there was enough material to work with.

Two people are needed to keep the process simple and easy…..if you’re smart. Well all the steps are done and we are off to Glacier National Park for a week. It was the second day of our time in Montana and it was pretty warm outside and we put the EZ Snap shade up and it performed as well if not better than advertised.

Couldn’t control how much radiant heat was blocked from inside the RV….at least 98%. Great product and I will recommend it to all my RV friends and acquaintances. In fact, there was a person at the campground who asked me what I was installing on my window and I explained to him, later the next day he asked me how it worked and I told him. That it did a great job and highly recommended the product.

Overall great product and I am extremely satisfied with the EZ Snap Shades.

Wish we had put this on our RV years ago!

Excellent product! We noticed a difference in how much our AC ran on the first day with 100 degrees outside!

This product is a fairly easy install if the instructions are followed and those were great instructions!

Wish we had put this on our RV years ago!

Well worth the money!

Greetings from Campbell River, BC.

We watched some of Ray’s YouTube videos from “Love your RV” and had the opportunity to meet him to see the results. Thanks Ray for allowing us to interrupt your day.

Went back to our RV, planned the project and placed our order for the EZ Snap. The completed order arrived a few days later and my wife and I began installing it on our Grand Design 5th wheel.

Installation was easy, we took our time to carefully clean the surface, place the bases where we wanted and let everything cure overnight. My wife made sure I carefully cut and then installed where I needed to install.

Started the installation on the shady side of our RV and ended up with the warmest window.

The infrared temperature was 107 degrees Fahrenheit before adding the shade cloth and 97 degrees after, a full 10 degrees lower. love it.

Also we used to have to keep the shades down in the living room because of the reflection from the windows on the TV. Now it’s a pleasure to pull up the shades, look outside and watch TV.

Thanks, great product and worth the money in our opinion!

The best DIY solution out there!

These shades are the best. We tried many ways to keep our camper cool in the sun.

We have 13 windows in the living room area, and the sun really shines through. The bedroom has only two small windows on the inner sides of the slide out, and stays nice and cool. The living room and kitchen area will be more than 90 degrees with an AC. (There is only 30 MP service).

We were concerned about a solution that required drilling holes in the side, not knowing where the wiring or aluminum studs would be located.

The first thing we did was change our blinds to try to block the heat.

We then tried a reflective film with zero difference. You could feel the heat on the hot glass with your hands.

We doubted anything would make a difference, but we knew we needed a solution that was on the outside, not the inside, so we tried it. Wish we had tried this earlier!!

Amazing results. They went up really easily by using string and glue pictures to keep our lines straight.

Our glass is now too cool to touch in direct sunlight, and our AC can now keep pace with the heat!

This is the best DIY solution out there! Thanks for a great product!

Well worth the money

These EZ Snaps were a great purchase and really kept the heat out of our camper.

They actually kept the camper cool and the air conditioning didn’t run as often.

The fasteners were very easy to install and did not take long to attach. Setting up the shades was a picture when we got to camp. It was even easier to take them down before the trip with the tool provided. Just don’t forget your ladder.

Plus, these shades allowed us to keep our curtains open and see what was going on outside without the hot sun shining in.

I definitely recommend this product. They are worth the money spent.

Extremely satisfied.

We purchased the EZ Snap product for our RV that is in full sun all day.

We received our EZ Snap kit and found it very easy to follow. The screen was very easy to cut with the handy cutting tool that was provided by EZ Snap!

Since the installation, we have noticed a considerable difference of the temperature in our RV and especially near the Windows.

We can still see outside but the Sun and the UV Rays are blocked out!

It’s been 2 months and our electric bill from the air conditioning units, has gone down considerably compared to last summer.

We chose the black screens, which have a very attractive look.

We wish we would have discovered this product sooner! One word of advice: order extra snaps, it’s very expensive if you need a few extra pieces. Also, don’t expect to reach customer service on the weekend if you have a question about the product. They are not in until Monday morning.

Overall, we are extremely satisfied with this product and have already recommended it to other campers!
